PGA Japan starts on Thursday... Lim Sung-jae, Kim Si-woo, Lee Kyung-hoon, and Kim Sung-hyun in action

The U.S. Professional Golf (PGA) Tour's JoJo Championship ($8.5 million purse) will be held at Narashino Country Club (par 70, 7,779 yards) in Inzai, Chiba, Japan, beginning Sept. 24.

The tournament is the fifth of eight events on the PGA Tour's Fall Series. Players must be ranked in the top 125 in the FedExCup standings by the end of the Fall Series to be eligible to compete on the PGA Tour in the 2025 season.

For this reason, the Fall Series doesn't feature many top players, but that's not necessarily the case for the JoJo Championship.

The JoJo Championship is the only Fall Series event that is a non-cut invitational.

Xander Schauffele (USA-World No. 2) 파워볼사이트 is the highest-ranked player in the field, having won both the PGA Championship and the British Open this season.

World No. 4 Colin Morikawa (USA) will look to defend his title in his father's home country.

Morikawa won this event last year, ending a title drought that lasted more than two years after the July 2021 edition.

Hideki Matsuyama (JPN - World No. 7), the 2021 event winner, will look to build on his two wins this season and reclaim the trophy for the first time in three years.

Other players in the field include Max Homa, Justin Thomas (USA) and Lee Minwoo (AUS).

South Korea will be represented by Lim Sung-jae, Kim Si-woo, Lee Kyung-hoon and Kim Sung-hyun.

This will be the first time that World No. 7 Im Sung-jae and World No. 32 Kim Siwoo will compete in the Fall Series.

This is the sixth consecutive year that Lim has played in the Tour Championship, the final event of the playoffs. The Tour Championship is limited to the top 30 players in the FedExCup standings.

In 25 events this season, Lim has eight top-10 finishes, including four top-10 finishes in eight events since the U.S. Open in June without missing a cut.

Kim finished tied for fifth at the BMW Championship, the second round of the playoffs, but narrowly missed out on a spot in the Tour Championship as he finished outside the top 30 on the FedExCup Ranking.

Lee, ranked 91st on the FedExCup Ranking, and Kim, ranked 123rd, will need to maximize their FedExCup points in this event.

It will be interesting to see if Lee can continue his good form after finishing tied for fifth at the Shriners Children's Open on Sept. 21.
